6-foot-7, 2011, Sugarcreek Garaway, forward Paul Honigford showed us Saturday why he is one of the top 10 prospects in Ohio's 2011 class. Honigford who already holds an offer from Michigan State displayed his game verse 2010, 6-foot-9,high-major prospect Adreian Payne via Dayton Jefferson. Honigford did a good job of beating Payne to the cup off rip-thru drives and held his own down under on the boards. Payne of course has go-go gadget arms and contested a share of Honigford's field goals, but Honigford fared well against the older and more athletic foe. Honigford who already has a great feel for the game, possesses a nice stroke, he can shoot it up to 17 feet with good mechanics, he runs the floor well, he passes well and he is physically tough for a young big. Paul reminds us of Notre Dame forward Zach Hillesland with similar attributes. We will keep you posted on Paul's progress as he is the focal point for a young Garaway Pirates team.
