Michigan Regional Action

Regional doubleheaders were abundant throughout Michigan as 16 teams per Michigan's four classes are still alive after Monday night's action.

Class A has the state's biggest schools or one's that opt to play in the state's top class. Many of the top teams in the Class are still alive and you can look forward to these great matchups on Wednesday at 7pm or otherwise noted: Grand Haven vs. Rockford @ Muskegon Reeths-Puffer, Holt vs. Kalamazoo Central @ Lansing Eastern, Detroit Pershing vs. Detroit Southeastern @ Detroit Renaissance 5 pm, Mt. Pleasant vs Flint Norwestern @ Flint Central, Warren DeLaSalle vs. Grosse Pointe North @ Grosse Pointe South, Hartland vs Novi Catholic Central @ Milford, Pontiac Northern vs. Clarkston at Troy Athens, and Romulus vs. Ypsilanti Lincoln @ Wyandotte Roosevelt.

There is plenty of talent in the state's regional finals:
Mt. Pleasant's 6'5 guard Trey Zeigler '10; 6'9 center Nate VanArendonk '10 of Grand Haven; Holt's 6'7 small forward Cole Darling '10; Rockford's 6'4 guard Ryan Majerle '11; Southeastern's 6'5 guard Brandan Kearney '11, 6'8 power forward Percy Gibson '11, and 5'10 point guard Carlos Carter '10; Detroit Pershing's 6'5 guard Juwan Howard, jr. '10 and 6'7 forward Raymone MacCaffee '10; Kalamazoo Central's 6'5 guard Devin Oliver '10 and 6'6 forward Darius Norman '11; Hartland's 6'5 wing Matt Poches '11; and many signed and unsigned seniors.
