Oak Park Wins on the Road

An early game in Michigan took place this past Friday night at Southfield-Lathrup Chargers hosted the Knights of Oak Park. Oak Park took an early lead and never looked back winning 80-61.

Oak Park led 19-13, 30-22, 49-34, 80-61.

A solid win for the Knights as they controlled the boards with solid interior defense and ten blocked shots.

Oak Park commanded the glass with a 37-28 rebound advantage and 6'1 Sam Burton's playmaking paved the was offensively. He balanced his points throughout the game while flashing four assists in the first four minutes of the third quarter. Burton is amongst the best unsigned point guard in Michigan. He finished with 25 points, 9 dimes, 6 boards, and 4 steals.

Lathrup scrapped for points which came far and few in between. 6'6 small forward Bryan Coleman '10 led the Chargers with 21 points, 6'5 Roy Marble, jr. '10 added 15, and 6'1 guard Drew Gilchrist '10 scored 14.
