Thursday evening around 7pm eastern standard time the Columbus City school board made a PUBLIC statement to halt Columbus Northland along with the rest of the city league teams from playing in any weekend sporting events, by of course city league policy with school closings. Well after plenty of phone calls, vast emails and media bash the Vikings of Northland will be allowed to play in the Dayton event Saturday afternoon against San Diego high school. Northland will have to make up their game against Columbus Beechcroft and that game will be in the near future. San Diego features 2010 star and Louisville commit Jeremy Tyler, who is one of the top five prospects in the class of 2010. Northland also features a top prospect in 6-foot-8, do-it-all big man Jared Sullinger. Guard play and X-factor JD Weatherspoon will be key for Northland to walk away with a "W". We will see....
