Battle of The Year!

Columbus Northland travels north on Saturday to take on the Trojans of Canton Timken. This could very well be one of the best remaining high school games left in the state of Ohio.

6-foot-8, PF, Jared Sullinger (Ohio State)
6-foot-6, SF, JD Weatherspoon (Xavier)
6-foot-4, PF, Javon Cornley (Indiana FB)
6-foot-4, WF, Dimonde Hale (2009 Prospect)
5-foot-11,PG, Trey Burke (2011 Prospect)
Coach: Satch Sullinger

Timken Features:
6-foot-7, PF, Cameron Howard (2009 Prospect)
6-foot-8, C, Desmond Rorie (2011 Prospect)
6-foot-5, WG, Jarred Porrini (2009 Prospect)
6-foot-4, WF, Rakim Reed (2011 Prospect)
5-foot-10,PG, Jehvone Clark (2011 Prospect)
Coach: Rick Hairston

Inside Report:
Sullinger is coming off a tender ankle sprain, so that means Hale, Cornley, Bennett, Burke and Weatherspoon will be called on for leadership and scoring. Hale who has came on as of late had 18 points on Tuesday in a cupcake game. Burke who's one of the top point guards in 2011 does a great job of creating for others and is capable of dropping 10-15 points easily. Cornley is a junk-yard dog and is capable of scoring from 10 and in, as well as being a monster on the glass. Weatherspoon will shine with his ability to finish above the rim and if Timken decides to make it a uptempo game. Porrini is the X-factor for this game, if he is able to create outside-in and be productive from start to finish it could be a very close game. Look for Northland's aggressive man to man defense to cause some shifts in Timkens offensive execution as they rely on Porrini and Clarke to create. Timken will most likely run a zone press unless Northland breaks it vastly and then possibly fall back into a quarter-court run and jump once the ball gets past half-court.

X-Factor: Jarred Porrini, Canton Timken, 2009, WG
